Established in 2003 as a heavy equipment services provider, PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) transformed into a mining contractor in 2005. As the business grew, PPA became Indonesia’s second-largest mining contractor, with more than 24,000 employees and operations across 15 coal and nickel mining sites in various regions of Indonesia as of 2026.

The Beginning of Our Journey

PPA was established as a heavy equipment rental services provider for the mining industry.

First Mining Contract

Secured its first mining services contract, marking PPA’s transformation into a mining contractor.

A Strategic Milestone

Secured a strategic contract with PT Borneo Indobara, accelerating the company’s business growth.

Empowering Through Profit Sharing

Launched a profit-sharing program that provided employees with the opportunity to become shareholders in the company.

Beyond 100 Million BCM

Surpassed 100 million BCM of overburden removal, reflecting PPA’s growing operational capabilities and performance excellence.

Expanding into Nickel

Secured its first nickel mining contract with PT Makmur Lestari Primatama, marking PPA’s expansion beyond coal mining.

The Three-Year GMP Legacy

Became the first mining services company to receive the Main Trophy of the Good Mining Practices (GMP) Award from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for three consecutive years (2022, 2023 & 2024).

The Champ

Became the first mining services contractor in Indonesia to achieve the Overall Champion title at the Indonesia Fire & Rescue Challenge (IFRC) for four consecutive years (2021–2024).

Surpassing 400 Million BCM

Reached a major operational milestone of more than 400 million BCM of overburden removal.

Joko Triraharjo

President Director

Joining the Company in 2005, he has held various positions at PPA, including Project Manager (2005–2008), Operations Manager (2008–2011), and was subsequently appointed as Director and shareholder of the company. He was inaugurated as President Director since May 2024.

Joining the Company in 2009, he has held various positions at PPA, including Deputy Project Manager (2009–2010), Project Manager (2010–2012), People & Mining Development Manager (2012–2016), General Manager (2016–2019), and is currently appointed as Director.

Sujoko Martin

Director of Finance

Appointed as independent director since 2018, he began his career at the Astra Group and has served for more than 18 years. He previously served as Finance Director at PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama.

Fathul Muin

Director of SCM & Corporate People and Culture

Held various strategic positions for over 20 years at PT United Tractors and served as Director of Sales and Products at PT Bina Pertiwi. He joined PPA as Director in 2023.
