Amid ever-shifting global dynamics, mining remains one of the strategic sectors contributing significantly to Indonesia's economy. Besides generating state revenue, the industry also plays a part in creating jobs and driving economic growth for communities, particularly around mining operational areas.
Indonesia's mining commodities likewise continue to play an important role in meeting global demand. Coal remains one of the world's energy mainstays, while nickel is increasingly needed as the transition to new and renewable energy accelerates. Commodities such as copper, tin and bauxite are also an important part of the global industrial supply chain.
Within the mining industry, mining services companies hold a highly strategic role. They not only support operations but also drive production efficiency, business sustainability, faster technology adoption and compliance with ever-evolving regulation.
As an expression of its commitment to service and operational quality, PPA Group won a number of awards at the Indonesia Mining Services Awards (IMS) 2026. At the event, PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) took Gold in the Mining category, PT Antareja Mahada Makmur (AMM), member of PPA Group, also took Gold in the Mining category, and Orecon Putra Perkasa, member of PPA Group, received Silver in the Mining Construction category.
"Kami mengapresiasi seluruh penghargaan yang dianugerahkan kepada PPA Group hari ini. Selain menjadi bentuk apresiasi dan motivasi, penghargaan ini juga menjadi bukti bahwa PPA Group terus membangun sinergi bisnis yang mampu menjadi akselerator dalam industri pertambangan Indonesia yang dinamis," said Joko Triraharjo after receiving the awards.
The IMS Awards are part of the Annual Mining Services Gathering (TTJP) 2026 held by the Indonesian Mining Services Association (ASPINDO) at The Stone Hotel, Bali on 22–23 May 2026.

The event was attended by a range of mining sector stakeholders, among them Tri Winarno, Director General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Ahmad Syauqi, Director of Engineering and Environment at the same Directorate General. Also present were top management from national mining and mining services companies who spoke at the national seminar, including Joko Triraharjo, PPA President Director and ASPINDO Second Deputy Chairman; Setya Graha, President Director of PT Surya Kalimantan Sejati; Muhammad Toha, Chief Compliance Officer of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk.; and Nugroho Setyo Utomo, Vice President Marketing of PT Pertamina Lubricants, as moderator.
On the theme "Accelerating The Mining Ecosystem for Growth and Resilience", Joko Triraharjo said in his remarks that the mining industry is currently in a new equilibrium shaped by a range of regulatory changes, from RKAB work plans and fiscal policy to the energy mix and export trade arrangements. At the same time, industry players face ever-higher stakeholder expectations around the application of technology and innovation in mining operations.
"Dalam pusaran keseimbangan baru ini, perusahaan jasa pertambangan memegang peran sebagai penghubung kritis (critical link). Kita adalah pihak yang menyatukan teknologi, mengoptimalkan proses, meningkatkan kompetensi SDM, dan menerapkan tata kelola yang baik agar produktivitas nasional dapat meningkat tanpa mengorbankan aspek keberlanjutan," said Joko Triraharjo in his remarks.
According to Joko Triraharjo, mining services companies have an important role in driving industry acceleration amid these dynamics, particularly through operational readiness capable of integrating a range of technological advances as part of a real and sustainable working strategy.
"Melalui kolaborasi yang solid, kita harus mampu mengubah setiap tantangan menjadi peluang untuk tetap kompetitif, serta menciptakan industri jasa pertambangan yang lebih tangguh dan berkelanjutan," said Joko Triraharjo in his remarks.
PPA Group is committed to continuing to deliver operations that are compliant with regulation, safe, collaborative, adaptive and resilient in the face of the national mining industry's dynamics.
