Recognizing stunting as a critical challenge to child development and the quality of future generations, PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) Site BIB in collaboration with the Girimulya Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Kuranji District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan—launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program titled "Langkah Bersama Ciptakan Generasi Bebas Stunting" (Joint Steps to Create a Stunting-Free Generation).
Held on July 29, 2026, as part of the National Children's Day celebrations, the initiative aimed to boost public awareness of stunting while delivering direct nutritional interventions and health screenings for pregnant women and toddlers near the company's operational area.
aligns with government efforts to accelerate stunting reduction in Tanah Bumbu Regency. The program was executed in partnership with the Puskesmas Girimulya and supported by dr. H. Andi Abdurrahman Noor Regional General Hospital (RSUD), under the auspices of the Tanah Bumbu Health Office.
Prior to the rollout, data collection was conducted across seven villages: Giri Mulya, Indra Loka Jaya, Karang Intan, Kuranji, Mustika, Ringkit, and Waringin Tunggal. The assessment identified 33 pregnant women—specifically those suffering from Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) and 35 toddlers displaying signs of stunting due to growth faltering.

Noor Akhmad, Head of HCGA Department at PPA Site BIB, stated that the company's involvement reflects its commitment to public health and the well-being of local youth.
"This health-focused CSR program demonstrates our shared care and synergy in nurturing healthy children. We hope this partnership with healthcare workers, local government, and the community continues sustainably to deliver broader benefits," said Noor Akhmad.
The program addresses stunting early by focusing on the First 1,000 Days of Life, starting from pregnancy. PPA and health professionals provided educational sessions through the "Bunda Cerdas, Anak Sehat" (Smart Mother, Healthy Child) workshop.
Participants received guidance on balanced nutrition, proper parenting, sanitation, and hygienic living. Pediatricians, nutritionists, and obstetrician-gynecologists (Ob-Gyns) led the sessions, allowing parents to consult experts directly about pregnancy and child development.
In addition to education, PPA provided nutritional packages under the "Langkah Sehat Bersama" initiative. These included protein-rich complementary foods (MPASI) for toddlers with growth issues and dietary supplements for pregnant women with CED.

To strengthen early detection and intervention, PPA and Puskesmas Girimulya established a free Nutrition Health Check and Counseling Post. The post offered growth monitoring for children and individual nutritional advice for mothers. Patients requiring advanced care were referred directly to RSUD dr. H. Andi Abdurrahman Noor.
PPA remains committed to maintaining this initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to improve public health around its operational sites. Through continuous collaboration with local health institutions, government bodies, and communities, PPA will keep driving impactful CSR projects to foster community well-being.
