Creating Outstanding K3 Innovation, PPA Group Shines at ICC-OSH 2026

PPA Group showed its commitment to building a workplace safety culture and sustainable innovation with a proud performance at the Indonesian Conference & Competition Occupational Safety & Health (ICC-OSH), held on 19–22 May 2026 at The Alana Hotel & Convention Center Yogyakarta.

Carrying the theme "Penguatan Kapasitas SDM Guna Tercapainya Penerapan SMK3 dan Penguatan Digitalisasi di Tempat Kerja", the event was organised by Wahana Kendali Mutu and the Human Resource Development Institute of Yayasan Primakarya with direct support from Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower.

The event was joined by 34 teams from 51 companies drawn from state-owned enterprises (BUMN), foreign investment (PMA) and domestic investment (PMDN). The competition ran through a rigorous assessment based on the creativity and effectiveness of Safety, Health, Security and Environment (K3L) solutions, improvements in occupational health and safety performance, improvements in environmental performance, and compliance with laws, regulations and other requirements.

PPA Group received five-star awards for the QCC TSMI & Red Lamp Indicator innovation and the QCC Digidump innovation. Four-star awards went to the QCC Palisade Tyre Barrier, QCC The Catalyst and QCC Sigra innovations.

In the 5-Star category, QCC TSMI & Red Lamp Indicator brings driving behaviour control and early detection of operator fatigue through monitoring technology, sensors and real-time data. The system raises workers' awareness in preventing accidents, reduces human error, and minimises the risk of heavy equipment accidents and damage to operational facilities. The innovation is also part of the digital transformation of mining safety, supporting operational supervision that is fast, accurate and effective.

QCC Digidump, or Digital Intelligence Dumping Limiter for Excellence Mining Performance, is an integrated dumping limiter system based on geofencing and autobrake that helps Heavy Duty (HD) units stop at a safe dumping distance. Implementing the innovation brought the geotechnical hazard score index down from critical to high risk, reduced the risk of units falling into the dumping area, cut unsafe acts and near misses to 0 cases, and brought the Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) down to 1.41.

In the 4-Star category, QCC Palisade Tyre Barrier introduces an engineering control safety device for the tyre maintenance process, able to contain a tyre explosion with a high safety factor. QCC The Catalyst was developed for monitoring technologies such as MDVR and Eagle Eyes through to continuous SAP-based reporting. QCC Sigra, or Sistem Integrasi Sensor Gorong-Gorong Real-Time dan Alarm, is a sensor and Internet of Things (IoT) based early warning system designed to monitor culvert conditions and potential flooding automatically.
