PPA's Commitment to Mining Safety Once Again Earns High Praise at TKMPN XXVIII-2024

PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) has again shown its deep dedication to mining safety innovation by winning prestigious awards at the Temu Karya Mutu dan Produktivitas Nasional (TKMPN) XXVIII-2024. The annual event, held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center on 2–6 December 2024, recognised PPA for outstanding achievement across a range of innovations in occupational safety.
PPA had previously received the highest award from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (KESDM) at the Subroto Awards 2024 for its contribution to mining safety innovation. At TKMPN XXVIII-2024, organised by the Indonesian Quality & Productivity Management Association (AMMPI) together with PT Wahana Kendali Mutu, PPA proved its commitment once again. This year's event carried the theme "Mewujudkan Generasi Emas melalui Green Innovation dan Productivity" and was supported by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and the Asian Productivity Organization.
In a competition joined by 2,470 participants from 230 companies across Indonesia, PPA took 5 awards for the 5 innovations it entered: 2 Diamond awards (first place) and 3 Platinum awards (second place).
The Blue Wave Team from Site BA, with the innovation Penggunaan Pre-Collision Prevention Drive Assist (PRECISE) untuk Mengurangi Risiko Kecelakaan pada Heavy Dump Truck, and the Akselerasi Team from Site BA, with the innovation Penggunaan Sistem Akses Kontrol Kendaraan Berbasis IoT yang Memastikan Hanya Personel Terotorisasi yang Dapat Mengoperasikan Kendaraan Melalui Verifikasi Identitas dan Kondisi Kendaraan, received Diamond awards.
Meanwhile the Rembo Team from Site PIK, with the innovation Meningkatkan Kinerja Brake System Mercedes Benz AROC 4845, the Bio Team from Site BIB, with Mengurangi Dampak Penggunaan Biodiesel Extend Life Fuel Filter 1000 Jam pada HD785-7, and the Incredibles Team from Site BIB, with Mencegah Accident Runned Over (Terlindas) pada saat Maintenance Unit Dozer D85ESS-2 E-Safety Lock Transmission, received Platinum awards.
These awards are concrete evidence of PPA's commitment in mining safety. They are a form of recognition and give PPA further motivation to keep innovating, bringing together the ideas and bright thinking of the people within it to advance the mining sector, particularly in mining safety.
