PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) achieved the highest distinction of 4-Star in the APQO Team Excellence Awards through its innovative project, “Boost100-Mine,” initiated by PPA Site BIB. The prestigious recognition was awarded at the ACE Team International Awards Competition 2026, held during the 31st APQO International Conference at the Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur, Bali, from October 26 to 29, 2026.
This accomplishment places PPA’s innovation at the pinnacle of the international team competition. Under the Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) guidelines, the 4-Star rating is reserved for teams scoring between 90 and 100 points. The honor underscores PPA’s position as a leading Indonesian mining services company capable of delivering world-class operational innovations.

The APQO 2026 Conference convened approximately 550 delegates from 14 countries, including Japan, China, Australia, India, the United States, and several Southeast Asian nations. The global forum serves as a platform for innovators, quality practitioners, and organizational leaders to share best practices in quality and productivity enhancement.
Sunaryo, Department Head of HCGA at PPA, emphasized that participating in this international conference aligns with the company's continuous drive to strengthen organizational capabilities and expand global networks.
"Our presence here aims to foster quality management, productivity, and performance excellence, share methods and case studies across Asia-Pacific nations, and build strategic networks. We hope this participation elevates our global competitiveness, efficiency, and quality standards," stated Sunaryo.
This commitment is concretely embodied in “Boost100-Mine,” an overburden haulage fleet modernization project at PPA Site BIB. The initiative transitions operations from conventional diesel trucks to 100-ton class diesel-electric hybrid haulers, maintaining high productivity while optimizing energy efficiency and lowering carbon emissions.

The technology captures kinetic energy during downhill braking and converts it into electrical power to recharge onboard batteries. Reusing this energy reduces overall diesel fuel consumption without compromising operational output. The project’s success highlights how field-level technology development can simultaneously drive operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The 4-Star rating was the centerpiece of a three-award haul for the PPA Group at the event. Additional recognition came from PT Antareja Mahada Makmur (AMM), a PPA Group subsidiary, whose Gaspol Team earned a 3-Star Award for the “Powering Green Hauling” project. This initiative introduced a fully electric 140-ton coal hauling fleet supported by a 5-minute battery-swapping station, achieving over 75% in energy cost savings while completely eliminating tailpipe emissions during operation.
Completing the PPA Group’s impressive achievement, PPA Site BIB also received accolades for its “Electra-Mine” project, which developed an electrified operational ecosystem at the Run of Mine (ROM) coal stockpile area. By integrating electric haul trucks, electric excavators, and solar-powered lighting towers, the project successfully replaced diesel-powered equipment across the facility.

All three projects illustrate PPA Group’s pragmatic innovation strategy: addressing real operational needs by optimizing energy consumption, boosting efficiency, and minimizing environmental impact. This approach strengthens the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation through tangible operational change.
PPA Management expressed deep gratitude to all PPA and AMM personnel involved in designing and implementing these innovations. The accolades reflect collective teamwork in identifying field challenges, developing solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
By earning the top 4-Star distinction, PPA elevates Indonesian mining operations onto the international stage. This recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to advancing technology and human capital to deliver productive, efficient, and environmentally responsible mining services.
