PPA Shines at the Adaro Indonesia GMP Awards 2024

As a company that always puts customer satisfaction first, PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) remains committed to reaching the best operational standards in line with its slogan, Safe & Strong Operational Performance. Over the course of its business, PPA has built a strategic partnership with PT Adaro Indonesia (AI), one of its principal partners across many aspects of operational development.

At the Annual Contractor Mining Adaro Indonesia (ACMAI) 2025, PPA won high praise for its outstanding performance as an Adaro Indonesia contractor. This year ACMAI carried the theme "Restructuring Business Pillars for Sustainable Growth", underlining the importance of restructuring business pillars for sustainable growth.

Held at the PT Adaro Indonesia office at KM73, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan, on Tuesday (11/2/2025), the event was attended by a number of key figures in the cooperation between AI and PPA. From PPA, those present included PPA Business Development Director Muhammad Affan, PPA Site Adaro Indonesia Operations Manager Rodli Muhajir, and other members of PPA's management. AI was represented by Operations Director Wahyu Sulistyo, Mine Technical Head Deny Widihatmoko, and other Adaro Indonesia management.

One of the main items on the agenda was PT Adaro Indonesia's GMP Award, recognising the implementation of Good Mining Practice (GMP) across various operational aspects. PPA won awards in several prestigious categories, among them Best Mine Haul Road, Best Dewatering and Best Disposal for 2024. PPA also took third place in Improvement GMP PPA with its Sun Tower Lamp HCGA project.

The project aims to replace diesel fuel entirely with solar panels on the tower lamps operating at PPA Site Adaro. The innovation covers automating lamp operation to a set schedule, applying an automatic cleaning system, and using digital monitors to make maintenance easier. Through these improvements, the overall cost of lamp tower rental has been cut significantly, to just 5% of the cost before solar panels were introduced. The system also improves efficiency in monitoring and maintenance. Beyond that, using solar panels has eliminated SOx and NOx emissions and prevented the potential fuel leaks previously caused by diesel-powered lamps.

On the same occasion, PPA and Adaro Indonesia signed the Agreed Parameter Production for 2025. The agreement covers the strategy for meeting production targets, the application of the zero accident concept through the AZAM programme, the development of a sustainable mining curriculum, and improved GMP implementation in PPA's operations at Site Adaro.

The awards won and the agreement signed reflect Adaro Indonesia's appreciation of and trust in PPA. PPA is committed to keep improving the application of GMP across all its operating locations and stands ready to continue its partnership with AI in 2025.
