PPA Wins 4 Kemendes PDTT Awards: Strengthening Conservation and Economic Resilience for Communities Around the Mine

PT Putra Perkasa Abadi PPA won 4 awards from the Ministry of Villages, Village Development, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) at the Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainable Village Development (CSR & PDB) Awards 2025, held at Bidakara Hotel Jakarta on Tuesday (30/09).

The event was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Food Security H. Zulkifli Hasan, the Minister of Villages PDTT H. Yandri Susanto, the Deputy Minister of Villages PDTT H. Riza Patria and ISSF Chair dr. Sudarmanto, along with PPA Division Head HCGA H. Sunaryo, PPA Dept. Head HCGA Indra Sutaryono, PPA Dept. Head HCGA Noor Ahmad, and PPA Sect. Head HCGA Singgieh Prananda.

Coordinating Minister for Food Zul Has expressed his appreciation to the companies helping village development, as it is no easy undertaking.

"Membangun desa berarti membangun masa depan, hal ini merupakan bukan suatu perkara yang mudah. Maka dari itu pemerintah Republik Indonesia dalam hal ini sangat mengapresiasi dan berterima kasih kepada perusahaan yang berhadir dan mendapatkan penghargaan malam ini, telah menjalankan program CSR nya dengan baik dan menyasar tepat sasaran kepada masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Semoga kerja sama yang baik ini dapat berlangsung berkelanjutan" he said.

At this prestigious annual event, PPA site BIB won two appreciation awards: for the KemBang Desa Mustika programme (Partnership and Development of Mustika Village Potential for a Sustainable Economy), which generated turnover of Rp23,910,807,787 from Mustika Village's produce in 2022–2024 and opened jobs for its residents; and for the Gertak Pedas programme (Village Women's Hands Moving Towards a Brighter Future), which empowered and raised the skills of 105 women earning on average above the Tanah Bumbu minimum wage through laundry work for the PPA Mess in Tanah Bumbu.

PPA site ADW, meanwhile, won a Bronze category award for its programme Optimising Village Enterprise Local Potential to Raise the Village Economy, involving BumDes Maburai in driving village businesses such as waste management, PPOB, vehicle registration office parking, seedling nurseries, local goods and services supply, and clean water provision for residents through PAM; and an appreciation award for its Reforestation Programme as an Effort to Conserve the River Area, which planted 1,900 bamboo plants along the banks of the Mangkupum, Minto, Mintol and Suyo rivers in Mangkupum and Kupang Nunding villages to head off land degradation and erosion of the riverbeds, in collaboration with the Tabalong Regency Environment Office (DLH) team.

All four programmes meet SDG 8, focused on Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 15, focused on protecting and restoring terrestrial ecosystems, including forests, drylands and other threatened areas.

Division Head HCGA Sunaryo spoke about the importance of corporate social responsibility for communities around mining operations.

"TJSL (Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan) perusahaan terus selalu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan di daerah area operasional PPA, agar masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitar site operasional mendapatkan nilai tambah dari segi Ekonomi, Sosial dan Lingkungan dengan kehadiran PPA. Semoga capaian ini menjadi penyemangat dalam menjalankan program-program di masa depan," he said.
