PPA Wins a Safety Innovation Award at ICAII 2023

IDXChannel - PT Putra Perkasa Abadi successfully won a Certificate of Appreciation at the IDX Channel Anugerah Inovasi Indonesia (ICAII) 2023, through its Mining Ring Community Empowerment programme.

The award was received directly by the Director of PT Putra Perkasa Abadi, Sujoko Martin, at the ICAII 2023 award ceremony held at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/9/2023).

The award was given in the Internal Process Category, for the company's innovation in safety dump monitoring composystem.

"Bagi kami poin safety merupakan bagian dari investasi perusahaan, sehingga kami sangat concern terhadap pemenuhan safety prosedur dalam proses kerja di kawasan pertambangan batu bara kami," said Sujoko after the ceremony.

So, when workers are about to carry out the dumping process, the company has provided a device which, if the dumping cannot then be carried out, helps maintain safety on site by reducing the likelihood of tipping to the left or right.

"Dengan adanya sistem ini tentu sangat membantu sekali bagi keselamatan kerja di area tambang," said Sujoko.

Because, according to Sujoko, if a tipping incident does occur, it becomes a major problem, and operational costs inevitably balloon as well.

Sujoko explained that in a tipping incident the coal has to be picked up again, and there may be equipment that needs repairing. That is what makes operational costs balloon if a tipping incident occurs.

"Karena itu, melalui (inovasi) ini, cost savingnya besar sekali. Dan (inovasi) ini ternyata juga tidak hanya menguntungkan secara internal, juga mendapat apresiasi dari pihak eksternal. Kami tentu sangat bangga," Sujoko said.

For that reason, Sujoko expressed his thanks and appreciation for IDX Channel's initiative in holding ICAII 2023 and similar events, as they can encourage listed companies to keep developing innovations for a better future.

"Selamat untuk IDX Channel karena acaranya sukses, dan kami berharap agar acara-acara semacam ini terus ditingkatkan, sehingga dapat mendorong kita semua untuk melakukan inovasi untuk kepentingan masyarakat dan lingkungan," Sujoko affirmed. (TSA)
