PPA Wins the Best IUJP Trophy at the Good Mining Practice Award 2023 from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) again received the Best Mining Services Business Licence (IUJP) Trophy and an Aditama Certificate in Standardisation Management of Mineral & Coal Mining Services Businesses in the IUJP Holder group, among 65 IUJP-holding businesses assessed at the prestigious annual Good Mining Practice Award (GMP) 2023 held by KESDM on Friday (29/9).

GMP Award 2023 was joined by 13 Contract of Work companies, 33 PKP2B companies, 30 IUPMA companies, 24 IUP PMDN companies, 9 IUPK companies and 65 IUJP companies. The event, a form of government recognition for mining sector companies in Indonesia that have applied good mining engineering principles, was attended by Acting Director General of Mineral & Coal Bambang Suswanto, the Director of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) Engineering and Environment at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi, senior officials in the human resources field, senior officials representing the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Ministry of Manpower, heads of provincial energy and mineral resources offices from across Indonesia, mining experts, and directors of Contract of Work, IUP, IUPK and IUJP holders together with mine technical heads.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif spoke about the importance of applying good mining engineering principles in remarks delivered online.

"Dengan diterapkannya kaidah teknis pertambangan yang baik diharapkan pengelolaan kegiatan pertambangan mineral dan batubara dapat berlangsung secara efektif, efisien, aman, dan ramah lingkungan" said Arifin.

The Director of Engineering and Environment / Head of Mine Inspectors at KESDM, Sunindyo Suryo Hendardi, as committee chair, expressed his appreciation and hopes for the companies winning at GMP Award 2023.

"Acara ini adalah bentuk apresiasi dari pemerintah bagi perusahaan atas kinerja yang sudah dilakukan untuk menambah motivasi dan sehingga kaidah teknik yang baik ditingkatkan dan bisa mendorong para perusahan pertambangan di seluruh Indonesia untuk lebih termotivasi dalam menerapkan dan memberikan contoh baik penerapan kaidah teknis pertambangan kepada perusahaan lainnya yang masih tertinggal," said Sunindyo in his remarks.

PPA President Director Christianto Setyo expressed his appreciation for the award and PPA's commitment to keep applying good mining principles in operations at every one of its sites.

"Tahun ini PPA berhasil mempertahankan trofi IUJP Terbaik dan mendapatkan 6 piagam Aditama, prestasi ini tidak terlepas dari dukungan insan PPA di seluruh Indonesia hingga penghargaan ini dapat diraih. kami juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Kementerian ESDM dan Ditjen Minerba atas apresiasi yang telah diberikan," said Christianto after receiving the award.

PPA was declared winner of the Best IUJP Trophy in Standardisation Management of Mineral & Coal Mining Services Businesses in the Mining Services Business Licence Holder group after PPA Site BIB, PPA Site MLP and PPA Site PTBA were announced as recipients of the Aditama Certificate for Standardisation Management of Mineral & Coal Mining Services Businesses in the same group.

PT Antareja Mahada Makmur (AMM), PPA's subsidiary, also received the Aditama Certificate for Standardisation Management of Mineral & Coal Mining Services Businesses in the Mining Services Business Licence Holder group, for AMM Site MHU and AMM Site BIB.
