PT Antareja Mahada Makmur (AMM), a subsidiary of PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) Group, has officially become the contractor partner chosen by PT Vale Indonesia Tbk to support its nickel mining operations. The eight-year long-term cooperation contract was signed on Friday (30/05) at Gedung Sequis, South Jakarta.
The contract was signed directly by PPA Group and AMM Directors Muhammad Affan and Arif Rahman, together with PT Vale Indonesia Director Muhammad Asril. The signing was also attended by Acting President Director of PT Vale Indonesia Bernardus Irmanto and PPA President Commissioner Iman Nurwahyu.
In his remarks, Acting President Director of PT Vale Indonesia Bernardus Irmanto expressed his hope that the collaboration could become an example of sustainable nickel mining practice in Indonesia.
"Kami berharap kemitraan ini berjalan dengan baik dan menjadi benchmark dalam praktik penambangan nikel yang berkelanjutan," said Bernardus in his remarks.
AMM Director Muhammad Affan welcomed the partnership with gratitude and optimism.
"Delapan tahun ke depan tentu tidak akan selalu mudah. Namun dengan semangat kemitraan, integritas, dan visi yang selaras, tidak ada tantangan yang tidak bisa kita hadapi bersama," said Affan.
Affan went on to stress that the partnership is a recognition of AMM's track record as a mining contractor that is adaptive, professional and continually growing. PPA Group has recorded outstanding achievement in the nickel sector, winning the Aditama (Gold) Award at the Good Mining Practice event held by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal for two years running, in 2023 and 2024.
"Alhamdulillah, kami sampai di titik ini. Ini adalah kebanggaan tersendiri bisa membangun sinergi dengan PT Vale. Saya percaya, AMM adalah perusahaan jasa pertambangan pertama di sektor nikel yang meraih penghargaan Aditama dua tahun berturut-turut. Ini adalah bukti nyata atas komitmen dan kualitas operasional kami yang konsisten," Affan continued.
With this cooperation signed, AMM stands ready to collaborate and contribute actively to delivering mining operations that are safe and sustainable, and that set an example for the national mining industry.
PT Vale is opening up room for collaboration with a range of strategic partners. PT Petrosea Tbk has been appointed to manage Blocks Bahodopi 2 and 3 in Central Sulawesi, while the Pomalaa Block in Southeast Sulawesi is handled by PAMA. The cooperation between PT Vale and AMM covers the management of Block Bahodopi 1 in Central Sulawesi. In July 2025, AMM is scheduled to carry out the first cut marking the start of mining operations in that area.
