PT Putra Perkasa Abadi Wins a New Nickel Mining Services Contract in Central Halmahera

Quoted from mediaindonesia.com, PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) has won a new nickel mining services contract from PT Halmahera Sukses Mineral (HSM). The contract runs for five years, until 2027. The first cut ceremonial held on Saturday (25/6) marked the start of production operations at the HSM mine in Weda, Central Halmahera, North Maluku.

The Operational Manager (PJO) of PPA job site HSM, Ufo Mahendra P, said the new contract between PPA and HSM will further strengthen the company's business portfolio in the mining services sector.

"Kekuatan bisnis perusahaan memungkinkan kami untuk terus mencari kontrak-kontrak baru, jika sebelum tahun 2021 PPA hanya mengerjakan project Batubara, maka saat ini sudah 2 project nikel yang kami kelola, ini membuktikan bahwa kami berkembang sejalan perkembangan industri," said Ufo Mahendra.

Meanwhile, PPA management representative Arif Rahman said in his remarks that PPA will give its best effort to reach production targets safely and securely through sound occupational health, safety and environment management, optimum productivity and UA, in line with the Safe & Strong philosophy that PPA holds.

"Hal tersebut ditunjang dari Physical Availability, Reliability dan Durability alat yang terbaik. Oleh karena itu, dalam kesempatan ini kami juga bersinergi dengan United Tractor (UT) selaku distributor alat yang kami gunakan untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, mengingat kami adalah premium customer dari UT dimana tahun 2021 kami mendapat penghargaan the most fleet purchase dari UT," affirmed Arif Rahman, Plant Division Head HO PPA, in his remarks.

Under the agreement, PPA will provide mining services such as overburden removal, nickel mining and heavy equipment rental at the HSM mine site.

HSM management representative Jimmy Darvid also congratulated PPA on joining the nickel project with HSM, to move forward together and contribute in Halmahera.

"Kami mengucapkan selamat datang dan selamat bergabung di site kami, kami percaya bahwa PPA dapat melakukan semua proses kerja dengan cepat, efektif, dan juga tetap memperhatikan faktor safety," said Jimmy Darvid, Head of Mining Engineering at HSM.

Both parties are optimistic that this cooperation will grow the company's business for the better, not only over the next five years but also for the long term. This is in keeping with the value PPA upholds on a maximum work ethic that continually delivers customer satisfaction.

The 4 new contracts PPA secured in the first half of 2022 reflect a year of transformation for PPA and form a strong foundation for the company's sustainable business growth. PPA currently has 9 existing projects, 7 of them coal mines and 2 nickel mines.
