Strategic Collaboration SWI X SANY Introduces a New Generation of Environmentally Friendly Hybrid Trucks to the National Mining Sector

Closing the year with its latest international collaboration, Star Wagen Indonesia (SWI), member of PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) Group, formally signed an agreement as exclusive distributor for a number of products developed jointly by SWI and SANY. The signing took place on 13 November 2025 at SANY's head office in China.

The event was attended by the boards and senior management of PPA Group, SWI and SANY, among them: PPA President Director Joko Triraharjo; PPA President Commissioner Iman Nurwahyu Wibowo; PPA HC Director & SWI President Director Fathul Mu'in; SWI Marketing Director Weli Perwira; SWI Finance Director Destisa Ayu Kumorowati; SVP of SANY Group; Chairman of SANY Heavy Equipment Jiang Qingbin; Director of SIHE Shi Zheng; and Deputy Director of SIHE William Hans Setiawan. The presence of leaders from all three companies reflects a shared commitment to strengthening strategic collaboration in developing and distributing heavy equipment technology that is safe, innovative and environmentally friendly.

Under the agreement, SWI formally becomes exclusive distributor for the SRT100s and a number of other products developed jointly by SWI and SANY. This adds to the list of well-known international companies entrusting their distribution to SWI, after Mercedes-Benz and Atlas Copco. The appointment also affirms SWI's commitment as "Your Strong Partner" and strengthens its position as a trusted heavy equipment distributor in the national mining sector.

The product developed jointly by SWI and SANY, the SRT100s, is a hybrid haul truck combining high-capacity electric battery power with a dual-engine diesel range extender running at its optimal efficiency point. The combination lets the SRT100s deliver high power with low fuel consumption.

This hybrid product offers advantages in supporting operational safety and productivity. On safety, the SRT100s is fitted with electric retarder and wet brake technology, giving safer and more stable braking performance on descents. On productivity, its electric motor delivers high torque from the outset, making acceleration, climbing ability and cycle time faster, with low fuel consumption and downtime.

In line with those strengths, the hybrid truck is developed to improve operational safety, reduce fuel consumption, raise hauling productivity, lower maintenance costs, and serve as a step in the transition towards more environmentally friendly mining operations.

The SRT100s is planned to enter service at various PPA sites and to be marketed to a number of major national mining companies in December 2025. As exclusive distributor, SWI also provides after-sales support through the supply of spare parts and technicians for servicing and troubleshooting, making sure customers' operations run optimally and sustainably.

With the distribution of this hybrid truck, SWI hopes to widen the use of hybrid technology in Indonesian mining operations, help cut carbon emissions, and introduce a modern, efficient and sustainable hauling standard. This is a concrete step towards making the national mining industry more competitive while supporting long-term sustainability.
